The camp directors are required for all types of camps and they have the final responsibility over all matters related to it. The purpose of the camp director is to promote the delegacy of bivouacking through the evolution. He is also responsible for management of human resourcefulness along with fiscal, commercialize, and strategic operations.

Camp Director Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • To meet the demands and concerns of the target populations in the camps
  • To ensure the deliverance of the camp requirements in a safe and quality manner
  • Seeking and analyzing stimulus from all sources which can include young persons, families, and staff members
  • Ensuring the quality and delectation of the program
  • Learning and implementing risk management procedures
  • To take care of the fiscal management and stock growing operations
  • For allowing of annual funding which would be enough for encountering long-term goals
  • For supervising regular operation of the camp which can include food services,  and general health care

Camp Director Job Skills and Specifications

  • Must possess ability to monitor staff and campers
  • Ability to interact with the public
  • Ability to contrive, initiate, direct, and carry out special programs regularly

Camp Director Job Education and Qualifications

  • The minimum educational qualifications required are Bachelors degree in camp administration or any associated degree with this field
  • Preference is given to the person having Director certification issued by the American Camping Association
  • Must have certifications in First Aid Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation(CPR)
  • Camp administrative experience of at least one year
