A training and development specialist helps a company, organisation or government agency to develop, implement and evaluate training programs for their employees. These specialists are also known as human resource development specialist, employee development specialists or just trainers. They guide and prepare newly recruited employees and help to initiate them into their work. They often help employees with job transitions if there is a corporate merger or acquisition. They also instruct employees about any new technology, safety or health precautions. These specialists analyze the working situation, find out where training would be required and are most useful and accordingly design new programs to fit the company’s objectives.
